Maurizio Mattei (27 February 1942 – 12 February 2021) was an Italian football referee and refereeing official. He was born in Treia, Italy. He died at age 78 on 12 February 2021 at a COVID-19 center in Civitanova Marche after testing positive for COVID-19, just 15 days before his 79th birthday.
