Rock On! is a studio album by American musician Del Shannon, released posthumously in October 1991. It was recorded from 1989 to 1990 at Rumbo Recorders, Sunset Sound, MC, and Posh. The rock album was issued on Silvertone/Gone Gator/MCA and produced by Mike Campbell and Jeff Lynne. This followed Shannon’s 1981 album Drop Down and Get Me; his next release, Home and Away, appeared in 2006.

Shannon died in February 1990, with work on the album mostly finished. The project features several notable contributors: Tom Petty and some of the Heartbreakers, Richard Greene on fiddle for “Let’s Dance,” and George Harrison who played guitar on “I Got You” and sang backing vocals on “Hot Love” (a B-side to “Callin’ Out My Name”). The song “What Kind of Fool Do You Think I Am?” is a cover of the Tams’ track.

Reception was mixed. The Calgary Herald called it a tired-sounding comeback, while the Edmonton Journal praised Shannon’s melodic writing and country-tinged guitar work. The Indianapolis Star criticized the production, saying the ten songs sounded like Electric Light Orchestra over 1960s rock. AllMusic’s Tim Sendra found the album passionate and strong, noting Shannon’s majestic voice.

In 2023, Edsel Records included Rock On! in the Stranger in Town: A Del Shannon Compendium box set. All tracks are written by Del Shannon, except where noted.
