Nuribenua is the largest island of Tabiteuea atoll in Kiribati. It covers about 22 square kilometers and had around 3,200 people in 2010. The island includes the old capital village Terikiai (also called Aanikai or sometimes Nuribenua) and the new capital village Utiroa, near the airport.

To the south lie Tauma and Kabuna islands; to the north is Nonouti Atoll. Nuribenua forms the northern tip of Tabiteuea and runs from north to southeast, with Tekabwibwi at the northern end. The southern end has Tabiteuea North Airport. Settlements on the island include Buota, Eita, Tanaeang, Tekaman, Terikiai and Utiroa. The reef to the northeast opens to the open sea.
