Richard James Michael Stearman (born 19 August 1987) is an English former professional footballer and current coach at Swansea City. A versatile defender, he could play at centre-back or right-back.

Stearman was born in Wolverhampton and grew up in Leicestershire. He joined Leicester City's academy in 1998 and turned professional in 2004, making his senior debut the same year. He played 116 league games for Leicester, scoring seven goals, before moving to Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2008. At Wolves he made over 200 league appearances and helped the club win League One in 2013-14; he also spent a loan at Ipswich Town in 2013.

In 2015 he joined Fulham, making 29 league appearances, and spent the 2016-17 season on loan back at Wolves. He signed for Sheffield United in 2017 and helped them win promotion to the Premier League in 2019. He later played for Huddersfield Town (2020-21), Derby County (2021-23), and Solihull Moors (2023-24). Stearman retired in July 2024 and stayed on as a first-team coach at Solihull Moors.

Across his club career, Stearman made 521 appearances and scored 15 goals. Internationally, he represented England at youth levels (U16, U17, U19 and U21), captaining the U21s at times and finishing as runners-up at the 2009 UEFA European Under-21 Championship.

In March 2025, Stearman joined Swansea City as assistant coach to the end of the season.
