Red-suffusion rosy-faced lovebird mutation
Red-suffusion rosy-faced lovebird (Agapornis roseicollis), also known as the red-pied lovebird, is not a true color mutation of rosy-faced lovebirds. Many breeders believe the red tint comes from a health issue, most likely liver problems. Some think there might be a genetic link to the Lutino rosy-faced mutation, since red spots appear in Lutino birds. Although some breeders claim it is genetic, it has not been reliably reproduced in breeding across generations.
