Rashmi Anand is an Indian writer and activist who works to end domestic violence. She founded the Woman of the Elements Trust in Delhi to provide free legal and emotional support to victims, including services at the Crime Against Women Cell in Delhi.

She grew up in Kolkata and later moved to Delhi after marrying a successful lawyer. She endured ten years of physical abuse from her husband. She left with her six-year-old child, who was not speaking due to the stress, and she won custody of their children, though she did not press charges because of threats from her husband.

Her experiences inspired her first book, and the 2010 Delhi Police Calendar was based on it. Anand has written thirteen books. Her life story was featured on the TV show Satyamev Jayate, and a Chicken Soup for the Soul book includes her story titled "Awakening."

- One of the first eight Nari Shakti Awards in 2015, India's highest award for women, presented on International Women's Day by President Pranab Mukherjee.
