RESOL – Elektronische Regelungen GmbH is a German solar-thermal technology company based in Hattingen, North Rhine-Westphalia. Founded in 1977 by Rudolf Pfeil, who still owns and runs the company, RESOL makes solar-thermal controllers, pump stations, and related modules and accessories.

Starting as a one-man operation in a private flat, RESOL grew and moved to Sprockhövel before returning to Hattingen in 1998. A larger plant was added in 2007, and in 2009 an annex was under construction to bring total space to about 6,600 square meters.

As of 2009, RESOL employed about 160 people. In 2008 the company reported turnover of €29 million. A major efficiency program based on the Toyota Production System helped convert processes into a flexible, industrial production facility, boosting turnover by more than 400% since the changes and contributing to 80% growth in 2008.

R&D, production and administration are centered at the Hattingen site. RESOL has subsidiaries in France and Spain and agencies in the UK, Sweden and Bulgaria. Authorized distributors sell its products in many other countries, and OEM agreements help RESOL controllers appear in more than 50 countries.

RESOL has earned multiple design and industry awards, including Solar-Unternehmen 2000, IF Design Awards (FlowCon Pro in 2001 and FlowCon D in 2008), ISH Design Plus Award for FlowCon Pro, Red Dot design awards for RS600 MIDI, DeltaSol A and FlowCon S, and the Intersolar Award in 2009 for the FlowCon Sensor pump station.
