Putti candle-holders

Putti candle-holders are a pair of sculptures made about 1434–1439 by Donatello, now in the Musée Jacquemart-André in Paris. Vasari described them as two child angels that stood on the cantoria (singing gallery) of Florence Cathedral, made by Luca della Robbia. Today, most scholars agree they are by Donatello, and many think they were created to top Donatello’s cantoria in Florence.
