At the 2012 European Aquatics Championships, the women's 50 metre breaststroke was held with heats and semifinals on May 26 and the final on May 27. 34 swimmers from 24 nations competed. The eight fastest swimmers advanced to the final, and a swim-off was needed to decide the last finalist. The final, held at 17:09, was won by Petra Chocová of the Czech Republic in 31.25 seconds. Silver went to Sycerika McMahon of Ireland and bronze to Caroline Ruhnau of Germany.
