Resurrection (Play Dead album)
Resurrection is a studio album by Play Dead with a long release history. In May 1984 the band issued From the Promised Land in a very limited run of 1,000 copies. Dissatisfied with those recordings, they remixed eight tracks and released them again with a Remix sticker on the cover. The third edition was retitled Resurrection and added eight new tracks. The song Weeping Blood is not on the Resurrection edition, but it appeared on the first two editions and on the 2007 reissue. All songs were written by Play Dead. The album blends gothic rock, post-punk, and alternative rock, and runs about 78 minutes and 45 seconds. It was released by Clay and produced by John Fryer and Play Dead.
