Private Smith of the U.S.A. is a 1942 American short documentary film directed by Slavko Vorkapić. The 19-minute movie, produced by RKO Radio Pictures, features Private William Terry of Pasadena, California, who later appeared in Stage Door Canteen (1943). Cinematography is by Harry W. Smith. It was released on October 2, 1942. The film was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Short Subject (Two-Reel) at the 15th Academy Awards.
