Princess Python is Zelda DuBois, a human villain in Marvel Comics. She is a trained athlete and a skilled snake charmer who uses a large, trained python to help her commit crimes. She first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #22 (1965), created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko.
She has no superpowers of her own. Instead, she relies on her physical fitness, expert snake handling, and a handheld electric prod to threaten people. She began as a circus performer using a 25-foot python, then joined the Circus of Crime and later the Serpent Squad and Serpent Society. She sometimes works with others but also acts on her own at times.
Zelda has had a varied life—she has been romantically involved with Johnny Blaze (the Ghost Rider) and has been married to Stilt-Man and to Gibbon. She is the mother of Executioner, though her son does not fully know who she really is. Throughout her career, she has clashed with many heroes, including Spider-Man, the Wasp, Thor, Captain America, Daredevil, and She-Hulk.
In recent Marvel stories, Princess Python joined Serpent Solutions during the All-New, All-Different era and has appeared as part of the Serpent Society. She has also been connected to events like Secret Empire as the team carried on with various villainous schemes. Zelda continues to appear as a recurring villain who uses snakes and tricks to try to pull off crimes.
