Erker's Optical Co. is a St. Louis, Missouri-based optical company founded in 1879 by A.P. Erker. His brother August Erker later joined the business. It was the first manufacturing optical firm in St. Louis and made a wide range of products, including spectacles, opera and field glasses, telescopes, microscopes, artificial eyes, drawing instruments, magic lanterns and stereopticons. The company also offered mathematical and surveying tools and repair services for optical equipment. A.P. Erker served as an official photographer for the 1904 World's Fair, and Erker's owns many photos from that event because it sponsored the official photographer. Erker's is still family-run, with Jack Erker Jr. as president, and the firm supplied Charles Lindbergh with the goggles he wore on his 1927 Spirit of St. Louis flight.
