Pondok Aren
Pondok Aren is a town and district in the city of South Tangerang, Banten Province, on the island of Java, Indonesia. It sits on the south-western edge of Jakarta.

- Area: 29.80 square kilometers
- Population: about 295,800 (mid-2023 estimate)
- Earlier census figures: 2010 population around 303,000 and 2020 population about 295,000
- District is divided into 11 urban communities (kelurahan)
Location and administration
- It covers much of the Bintaro Jaya area and borders South Jakarta to the east
- District office: Jl. Graha Raya Bintaro, Perigi Baru, behind the Pondok Aren Sectoral Police office
- Sectors 3–9 of Bintaro Jaya lie in Pondok Aren; Sectors 1–2 are partly in South Jakarta and East Ciputat
Education and services
- Notable schools: The British School Jakarta, The Jakarta Japanese School, Global Jaya International School, Mentari Intercultural School, plus other national and public schools
- Fire and rescue services: South Tangerang Fire and Rescue covers the area; there is a fire station beside Bintaro Plaza
Transportation
- Toll roads: Ulujami-Serpong Toll Road (Pondok Aren exit at KM 5–6) and Kunciran–Serpong Toll Road (Perigi exit at KM 21)
- These roads connect to Jakarta Outer Ring Road 2 and other major routes, linking Pondok Aren with BSD City, Serpong, Bintaro, Pondok Indah, Jakarta, and airports and expressways in the region
