National Defense College of the Philippines (NDCP) is a government education, training, and research agency under the Department of National Defense. Located at Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City, it is dedicated to studying national defense and security to develop leaders in the military and civilian government.

The college was conceived in 1957 after SEATO suggested a Philippine War College. In 1973, President Ferdinand Marcos issued Presidential Decree No. 190 creating the NDCP, and in 1974 it was placed under the Office of the Secretary of National Defense. In 1998, the NDCP moved to a new three-story building at Camp Aguinaldo. Its Academic and Admission Boards oversee its programs, which include lectures by scholars, foreign diplomats, and defense leaders.

The Master in National Security Administration (MNSA) is the NDCP’s main program. It welcomes military officers, government officials, and private sector leaders. Civilian graduates are commissioned as Lieutenant Colonels or Commanders in the AFP Reserve Force. The college also runs a robust research and training framework through its institutes and centers.

Institute for National Security Studies (INSS) handles research on national security matters. The Crisis Management Institute (CMI), formerly the Emergency Management Institute of the Philippines, focuses on crisis management, terrorism, and related crimes. The Defense Management Institute (DMI), formerly the Institute for Extramural and Continuing Studies, offers certificate and diploma courses on national security administration.

Budget: ₱118.80 million (2020). Address: General Arturo Enrile Avenue, Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City. The campus is urban, and many graduates join the NDCP Alumni Association.
