2015–16 Providence Friars men's basketball
The Providence College Friars, led by fifth-year head coach Ed Cooley, played in the Big East and at the Dunkin' Donuts Center. They finished the season 24–11 overall and 10–8 in the Big East, tying for fourth place. In the Big East tournament, they beat Butler in the quarterfinals to advance to the semifinals, where they lost to Villanova. They earned an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament as a 9 seed, defeating USC in the first round and then losing to North Carolina in the second round.
