Piqua Center is a large shopping mall in Piqua, Ohio. It opened in 1988 and covers about 504,691 square feet on one floor. The current anchor is Dunham’s Sports, and the mall has seen several big stores come and go over the years, including J.C. Penney, Sears, Elder-Beerman, and Ames (later Hills). A Little Professor bookstore and other shops like Quiznos and CJ Banks have also appeared there. In 2008, the mall’s theater space became a Cinemark complex, and Steve & Barry’s closed a few years later. Dunham’s Sports moved into the former Steve & Barry’s space in 2014. Elder-Beerman closed in 2018, Sears closed in 2019, and J.C. Penney announced its closure in 2020, leaving Dunham’s as the only remaining anchor for a time.

In 2023 the Miami Valley Center Mall was sold to a partnership of Bruns Construction Enterprises and Caspian Group and renamed the Piqua Center. In early 2024, redevelopment plans were announced to convert the property into a mixed-use center: about 245,000 square feet for business incubator spaces, warehousing and e-commerce; 192,000 square feet for retail and boutiques; and 86,000 square feet for entertainment and dining. The project includes existing tenants like American Freight and adds Do It Best hardware and Las Marias restaurant, with a renovated food court that will feature a glass-walled bar. The former theater area has been repurposed to house Hero Day Action Park, an indoor inflatable arcade, plus a mezzanine and snack bar. Smile Back Training Center, a mixed martial arts gym, is also on site.

Future plans include other activity-driven offerings such as a redemption arcade, axe throwing, and pickleball in the food court area. Developers have talked about additional uses, including an outdoor marketplace and apartments on nearby parking lots. In July 2025, it was announced that The Social, a food hall with six dining options and a bar, would open in fall 2025, with an arcade and event space planned for later development.
