Pier Luigi Carafa (1581–1655), also known as Pier Luigi Carafa (Senior), was an Italian Roman Catholic cardinal-priest and a member of the Roman Curia. He served as the bishop of Tricarico and as Apostolic Nuncio to Cologne. He was consecrated as a bishop on 2 June 1624 by Cosimo de Torres, with Giovanni Antonio Angrisani and Alessandro Suardi as co-consecrators. In March 1645, Pope Innocent X created him Cardinal-Priest of Santi Silvestro e Martino ai Monti. He died in Rome during the papal conclave of 1655. The Carafa family produced many cardinals over the centuries.
