Paris Cotton
Paris Cotton (born November 2, 1989) is a former American football running back who played in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was born in Miami, Florida, and attended Hialeah High School. He played college football at Central Michigan University, where from 2008 to 2011 he rushed for 1,381 yards and 9 touchdowns. He was rated as the 56th-best running back in the 2012 NFL draft by NFLDraftScout.
Cotton began his pro career with the CFL’s Hamilton Tiger-Cats in 2013 but was released in April. He then joined the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, where he played from 2014 to 2015. In 2014 he became the starter late in the season and finished with 629 rushing yards and 4 rushing touchdowns, along with 24 receptions for 243 yards and 1 receiving TD. In 2015 he started the season as the Bombers’ leading rusher, but broke his arm in August and missed the rest of the year, finishing with 268 rushing yards on 56 carries and 1 rushing TD, plus 14 receptions for 151 yards and 1 receiving TD. The Bombers released him in February 2016. He then joined the Calgary Stampeders’ practice squad in September 2016 and later signed with the Colorado Crush of the Indoor Football League in January 2017.
