Phillip DeVillier
Phillip Ryan DeVillier (born June 8, 1976) is a Republican member of the Louisiana House of Representatives for District 41, which covers Acadia, Evangeline, and St. Landry parishes in south Louisiana. He has served in the House since January 11, 2016, after succeeding Mickey Guillory. DeVillier is the Speaker of the Louisiana House, a role he has held since January 8, 2024, succeeding Clay Schexnayder. In the 2015 primary, he led a three-candidate field with 55.8% of the vote, defeating Republican Gregory Fruge and Democrat Germaine Simpson. He was raised in Eunice, Louisiana, and runs DeVillier House Movers in St. Landry Parish. He and his wife have three children, and he holds a BS from Louisiana State University.
