Matthias Gate
Matthias Gate (Matyášova brána) is a gate inside Prague Castle in Prague, Czech Republic. It sits between the castle’s first and second courtyards. It was built in 1614 by Matthias, the Holy Roman Emperor. A Latin inscription on the gate says that Matthias, elected Roman Emperor and ruler of Hungary and Bohemia, ordered its construction in 1614.
