An Excellent Servant But a Terrible Master is the debut studio album by the metal band Pyrrhon. It was released on September 2, 2011, by Selfmadegod Records. The album was recorded in January 2011 at Bad Lab Studios in Tabernacle, New Jersey. It runs about 45 minutes and blends technical death metal with mathcore. Lyrics were written by Doug Moore, while the music was composed by Pyrrhon. This album follows Fever Kingdoms (2010) and precedes The Mother of Virtues (2014).
