Riverdale High School (Port Byron, Illinois)
Riverdale High School is a public four-year high school in Port Byron, Illinois. It is part of Riverdale Community Unit School District 100, which also includes Riverdale Middle School and Riverdale Elementary School. The campus sits about 3 miles east of Port Byron and 13 miles northeast of East Moline, near the Quad Cities metropolitan area.

History
Riverdale High School opened in 1955 after the consolidation of Cordova, Hillsdale, and Port Byron high schools to form Riverdale Unit School District 100.
Predecessor schools
- Cordova High School began in the late 19th century, with a notable building completed in the early 1920s. It closed in 1955 after consolidation.
- Hillsdale High School opened in 1921 and became part of Riverdale in 1955.
- Port Byron High School operated for years before joining the consolidation; its building served as Riverdale’s first high school site until a new campus was built in 1967. The Port Byron site later housed a business and has undergone changes since then.
