Petroscirtes breviceps is a small reef fish in the blenny family. It is known by several common names, including striped poison-fang blenny mimic, striped fangblenny mimic, short-head sabretooth blenny, short-headed blenny, sabretooth blenny, and black-banded blenny.

Where it lives
- This species is found in coral reefs of the western Pacific Ocean and Indian Ocean.

Size
- It can grow up to about 11 cm in length (standard length, not including the tail).

Conservation status
- The IUCN lists Petroscirtes breviceps as Least Concern (IUCN 3.1).
