Peter Kelly (Irish politician)
Peter Kelly (17 August 1944 – 2 January 2019) was an Irish Fianna Fáil politician. He served as a Teachta Dála (TD) from 2002 to 2011. He represented Longford–Roscommon from 2002 to 2007 and Longford–Westmeath from 2007 to 2011.
Born in Castlepollard, County Westmeath, he worked as a funeral director and publican before entering politics. He was a member of Longford County Council from 1985 to 2003, and also served on Longford Town Council. He lost his Dáil seat in the 2011 general election.
Kelly died from cancer on 2 January 2019 in Dublin, aged 74. He was survived by his wife Maura and three children.
