Erica melanthera
Erica melanthera, the black-anther heath, is a flowering plant in the heath family (Ericaceae). It belongs to the genus Erica and is part of the fynbos landscape. The species is endemic to South Africa, found in the Western Cape and the Eastern Cape. Its scientific name is Erica melanthera L. The plant has several synonyms, including Callista varia and Erica caroliniana, among others.
