Peta Wilson
Peta Gia Wilson (born 18 November 1970) is an Australian actress, lingerie designer, and model. She’s best known for playing Nikita in La Femme Nikita (1997–2001). Born in Sydney, she is the daughter of caterer Karlene White Wilson and Darcy Wilson, a former Australian Army Warrant Officer. She spent several years in Papua New Guinea when her father was stationed there, and her parents divorced in 1982. Wilson began as a model in Australia and Europe, moved to the United States in 1991 to study acting, and appeared in The Sadness of Sex (1995) and Naked Jane (1995). In 1996 she earned the lead in La Femme Nikita, a Canadian-American series filmed mainly in Toronto; it ran five seasons and earned her two Gemini Award nominations.
After Nikita, Wilson starred in Mercy and appeared in A Girl Thing (2001). She attended the Moscow International Film Festival in 2001, where Putin was reportedly a fan of Nikita. In 2002 she played Anny Ondra in Joe and Max. She then returned to Australia to focus on family life and her son, whom she had with partner Damian Harris (1997–2002). In 2003 she portrayed Mina Harker in The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and appeared in Two Twisted (2006), Superman Returns (2006), and Beautiful (2009). Returning to Los Angeles in 2010, she did guest roles on CSI: Miami and The Finder, and launched her lingerie label Wylie Wilson in 2012 with a flagship store in LA. She later acted in Troppo (2022) and appeared in Play Dirty (2025).
