The Elliott 6m is an Olympic-class keelboat designed by New Zealand’s Greg Elliott. It was chosen for the women’s match racing event at the 2012 Olympic Games. The boat is about 6.0 m long, with a beam of 2.35 m and a draft of 1.66 m. Its sail plan includes a mainsail of 15.9 m², a jib/genoa of 7.7 m², and a spinnaker of 28.0 m² (upwind sail area 23.6 m²). It uses a spinnaker pole and a symmetric spinnaker, which are well suited to match racing.
