Perpetual usufruct

Content sourced from Wikipedia, licensed under CC BY-SA 3.0.

Perpetual usufruct, or the right of perpetual usufruct (RPU), is Poland’s long‑term lease of land owned by the public sector. Leases usually last 99 years (never less than 40) and allow private parties to use the land, typically in cities, and to own buildings on it. The land itself remains public property. A 2005 law allows conversion of the right of perpetual usufruct into full ownership of the real estate in certain cases.
