Bow Valley is a small, unincorporated community and census-designated place in Cedar County, Nebraska. It had 95 residents at the 2020 census. The town sits in northern Cedar County in the valley of West Bow Creek, which flows into the Missouri River. Nebraska Highway 12 runs about a mile north of Bow Valley, linking it to Ponca (33 miles east) and Crofton (12 miles west). Nebraska Highway 57 runs about a mile west and goes south to Hartington (6 miles). Bow Valley had a post office from 1871 to 1907. The name comes from Bow Valley. The community covers 0.14 square miles, all land, at an elevation of about 1,329 feet. The ZIP code is 68739, and the area codes are 402 and 531.
