Paul Scurti

Paul Scurti, whose full name is Paolo Scurti, was born on October 2, 1951, in Spoltore, Italy. He was a midfielder who spent five seasons in the North American Soccer League. He moved to the United States with his family when he was eleven.

He began his pro career in 1972 with the Baltimore Bays of the American Soccer League. In 1974 he joined the Baltimore Comets of the NASL, playing there in 1974 and 1975. When the Comets became the San Diego Jaws in 1976, he moved with the team. He later played two games for the California Surf in 1978.

Internationally, Scurti earned one cap for the United States in 1975 in a 7–0 loss to Poland; he started the game but was substituted in the 62nd minute. He also played in an unofficial match, a 10–0 loss to Italy on April 2, 1975, coming off at halftime.
