Sphenophorus zeae, commonly known as the Timothy billbug, is a species of beetle found in North America. It belongs to the Dryophthoridae family (a group of weevils) in the order Coleoptera. The species was first described by Walsh in 1867. A synonym for it is Sphenophorus blatchleyi, named by Chittenden in 1924.
