Pantulan Cita
Pantulan Cita (Reflection of Dreams) is the fifth studio album by Indonesian singer Chrisye, released on January 1, 1981 by Musica Studios. The album moves toward rock influences, a departure from Chrisye’s earlier pop sound. The cover shows Chrisye’s face as a jigsaw puzzle. It was produced by Jockie Soerjoprajogo with Chrisye, who also played bass; Jockie played keyboards, Jerry guitar, and Yaya M. drums; Indah Sukotjo provided backing vocals on "Tragedi Badai." Jockie wrote most of the lyrics, with three by Harry Sabar; Ayik Soegeng designed the puzzle cover. The photo was created by gluing a portrait to plywood and cutting it into puzzle pieces. Pantulan Cita received negative reviews and poor sales, and no singles were released. The disappointment led Chrisye to take a two-year break from recording. He returned in 1983 with Resesi, a more commercially successful album made with Jockie and Eros Djarot. Pantulan Cita has been reissued on CD in 2004 and as part of the Chrisye Masterpiece Trilogy in 2007.
