Pamela Medlen is a journalist, reporter, and news presenter from Western Australia. Since September 2020, she has presented ABC News on Monday to Thursday evenings.

She grew up on a farm in the Great Southern region, studied journalism at Curtin University in Perth, and worked at Curtin Radio while at university. After traveling in Europe for about 18 months, she returned to Perth to write for local newspapers. She won a WA Youth Award for reporting and was named Community Newspaper Group’s best journalist. Medlen joined the Australian Broadcasting Corporation in 2006 as a reporter and producer, also reading weekend news, and she became the weekday flagship evening news presenter in 2020, taking over from James McHale. She hosted TEDx Perth in 2012 and lives in Bayswater with her long-term partner and their two dogs.
