Padma is a small village in Padma CD block, Barhi subdivision, Hazaribagh district, Jharkhand, India. It lies on National Highway 20 and has a railway station on the Koderma–Hazaribagh–Barkakana–Ranchi line. The village is about 398 meters above sea level.

As of 2011, Padma had 7,896 residents (4,326 males and 3,570 females). There were 1,113 children aged 0–6. Literacy was 5,340 people, about 78.7% of those older than 6.

Padma is famous for Padma Fort (Padma Kila or Hawamahal), the historic seat of Ramgarh Raj during British rule. The estate was run by Bhumihar zamindar families who played a key role in local administration. Today the Padma Palace houses a police academy, and the Shivgarh gate is a notable feature.

Hazaribagh Wildlife Sanctuary is about 5 km from Padma. The district is on a plateau, with forests covering roughly 45% of the area. Most people live in rural areas (about 92%), and agriculture is the main occupation. Coal mining is expanding in the southern part of the district and is highly mechanised. Four Central Coalfields areas lie in this district and nearby areas.

Padma has a police out-post for the CD block, and the block headquarters are located at Padma. The village has a railway station on the Koderma–Hazaribagh–Barkakana–Ranchi line and is on National Highway 20. The PIN code is 825411 and the telephone area code is 06543. The official languages are Hindi and Urdu.
