Oviyavai Vitta Yaru is a 2019 Tamil-language comedy directed by Rajadurai and produced by Madurai Selvam in his debut. It stars Sanjeevi and Oviya, with music by Srikanth Deva and lyrics by Vairamuthu and Snehan. Production began in mid-2014, but the project faced financial problems and distribution delays, and there were reports of a dispute between the director and producer over pay. The film’s original title was Seeni, but in August 2017 it was renamed Oviyavai Vitta Yaaru (often shortened to Oviya) following Oviya’s rising popularity after her appearance on Bigg Boss. The shoot took place through 2014–2015, and promotional materials later featured actors like Ganja Karuppu and Vaiyapuri. The film finally released on 24 May 2019. Critics were mixed: the Asian Age called it watchable to some extent, while The Times of India gave it 2.5/5, saying it lacked a fresh story and engagement.
