Ole Lippmann
Ole Lippmann (25 April 1916 – 3 September 2002) was a Danish businessman and a leading figure in Denmark’s resistance against the German occupation during World War II. In February 1945 he became the Special Operations Executive (SOE) parachute commander in Denmark, taking over from Flemming Muus and serving in that role until the Danish liberation on 5 May 1945. He was the last surviving senior member of the wartime Freedom Council, the group that carried out sabotage against railways, bridges, factories, oil facilities and military installations. He married Inga Bjorn Nielsen in 1942, and they had three children.
