Okumkpa
Okumkpa is an African dance from the Afikpo Igbo people of Nigeria. It is known for its humor and is usually performed after the Dry Season Festival. Dancers wear masks to become mma (spirits). Each mask has a name, and the dancer must perform in a way that matches the mask’s character. The performances often use satire, sometimes joking about who is the most foolish man on earth to win the Pot of Foolishness.
