Oklahoma State Highway 97 (SH-97) is a 19.86-mile (31.96 km) state road in northeastern Oklahoma, maintained by the Oklahoma Department of Transportation. It connects the towns of Sapulpa and Sand Springs and passes through areas just north of Sapulpa, including Pretty Water, Allen, and Prattville.

The highway starts in Sapulpa at a busy intersection with U.S. Route 75 Alternate and SH-33 (SH-66 also runs through the area). It heads north toward the Turner Turnpike (Interstate 44) and has an interchange there. Just outside Sapulpa, SH-97 is the western end of SH-166, a short spur.

SH-97 crosses into Tulsa County and continues to the Sand Springs area. In Prattville (a neighborhood of Sand Springs), it meets SH-51 and runs together with it for a stretch. The two routes cross the Arkansas River into Sand Springs and reach an interchange with the Sand Springs Expressway, which carries U.S. Routes 64 and 412. SH-51 then leaves the freeway toward downtown Tulsa, while SH-97 stays on its own path.

Within Sand Springs, SH-97 stays on North Wilson Avenue, turns onto West 2nd Street through downtown, then heads north on McKinley Avenue. It continues north until a T intersection, where SH-97 turns right to resume its northbound course (the left turn is the former SH-97T spur, which is no longer part of the highway system).

Beyond Sand Springs, SH-97 runs north through southeast Osage County to the Zink Ranch, ending at Rock School Road in front of the ranch.

History notes: SH-97 was first designated on February 3, 1952, running from Sapulpa to the southern SH-51 junction (also carrying US-64). It was extended north into Osage County on October 15, 1956. Since then, only minor realignments in Sand Springs and Sapulpa have occurred. SH-97 briefly had a truck bypass spur designated as SH-97T, but it was decommissioned after one year. Also, SH-166 is a 0.69-mile connector from SH-97 to Frankoma Road in Sapulpa, serving Frankoma Pottery.
