Nuovo Pordenone 2024 FC ASD
Nuovo Pordenone 2024 FC ASD, commonly known as Pordenone, is an Italian football club from Pordenone in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region. It was founded in 1920 as Football Club Pordenone. The team wears black and green and plays home games at Stadio Guido Teghil in Lignano Sabbiadoro, which holds 5,000 spectators.
Over the years, the club climbed through the Italian leagues. It reached Serie D in 2007–08, moved up to Lega Pro (now Serie C) in 2014, and in 2018–19 won Serie C Group B to reach Serie B for the first time. In Serie B they were close to promotion in 2019–20, losing in the semifinals to Frosinone. The 2020–21 season finished 15th, and in 2021–22 they finished last and were relegated to Serie C. After the 2022–23 season the professional club did not enter Serie C and was liquidated on 31 October 2023.
In May 2024 the club was re-founded as Nuovo Pordenone 2024 FC ASD and planned to play in the amateur Promozione league for the 2024–25 season. The away kit is usually white, and the colors remain black and green. The badge has featured the city’s coat of arms, sometimes with a lizard, and later a modern logo with the letters P and N and waves representing the Noncello river.
A notable moment in the club’s history: in December 2017 they faced Inter Milan in the Coppa Italia at San Siro, drawing 0–0 before losing 5–4 on penalties in the Round of 16.
