Frank Bonham (February 25, 1914 – December 16, 1988) was an American writer who produced Westerns and young adult novels. He wrote 48 novels and also worked on TV scripts. Born in Los Angeles, he was a graduate of UCLA. In the 1960s he became known for tough, realistic YA stories set in urban environments, such as The Nitty Gritty and Durango Street, as well as for Westerns. Some of his books were published after his death, often drawn from his pulp magazine stories from 1941 to 1952. Durango Street was named an ALA Notable Book. He died on his ranch in Arizona.
