Nudity in print media
Nudity in print media has appeared in many countries. In Germany, Bild published topless models from 1984 to 2018. The German magazine Bravo includes nudity in its educational sections That’s Me and Dr. Sommer’s Bodycheck, which began in the 1970s to teach about sexual health and wellbeing. In the Netherlands, Break-Out! Magazine ran from 1996 to 2006 and was similar to Bravo. In the United Kingdom, topless models appeared in newspapers starting with The Sun’s Page 3 in the 1970s; other papers like Daily Mirror, Daily Star, Daily Sport also carried similar features, and Sunday Sport continued into 2022. UK lad mags such as Nuts, Zoo, and FHM were popular in the 1990s and 2000s. Playboy is famous for glamour models, starting in the 1950s and continuing through 2020.
