Mamsie Mofama

Mamsie Rose Mofama is a South African politician from the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF). She served as a member of the Gauteng Provincial Legislature from May 2019 to January 2023. She was elected in the 2019 general election and was fifth on the EFF’s Gauteng list.

In the legislature, Mofama sat on the Petitions Committee and the Committee on the Scrutiny of Subordinate Legislation, and she was an alternate member of the Social Development Committee.

On 31 January 2023, it was reported that Mofama and several other EFF members of the provincial legislature had resigned. This followed a January 2023 statement by EFF leader Julius Malema about changing how the party redeploys public representatives after its 2022 provincial conferences.
