Sing to Me Instead Tour
Sing to Me Instead Tour was Ben Platt's first solo concert tour, promoting his debut album Sing to Me Instead. It took place in North America from May 3 to September 29, 2019, with 14 shows. The performances mixed live songs from the album with personal stories and a few covers. Opening acts were Ben Abraham and Wrabel. The final show was at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. On September 9, 2019, it was announced that the Radio City performance would be filmed for a Netflix special, Ben Platt Live from Radio City Music Hall, released on May 20, 2020. Critics noted Platt's confident stage presence and candid storytelling about his life, relationships, coming out, and anxiety, woven through the music.
