Night Drives
Night Drives is the fourteenth studio album by English singer-songwriter Kathryn Williams. It was released on 15 July 2022, recorded at Studio Wolf Cave, and produced by Ed Harcourt. The album appeared on the One Little Indian label and sits in her discography after Midnight Chorus (2021) and before Mystery Park (2025).
The release also included Williams’ first Dinked edition vinyl (No. 194). Only 500 copies were made worldwide, featuring gold-colored vinyl and an alternative artwork sleeve painted by Williams.
Critics responded positively. The Arts Desk highlighted Williams’ emotional voice and rich way with words. KLOF Mag noted her continued exploration of new ideas and praised how she humanizes machines in the songs. Uncut gave it 8/10, calling it not typical playlist material, while Mojo awarded four stars. The Crack described the sound as expansive with cinematic vibes and well-judged electronica.
