The 1930 Wyoming gubernatorial election was held on November 4, 1930. Incumbent Republican Governor Frank Emerson sought re-election against Democratic State Senator Leslie A. Miller. It was a close race. Emerson won re-election by a slim margin, receiving 38,058 votes (50.58%) to Miller's 37,188 votes (49.42%), a difference of 870 votes. Yet Emerson did not serve his full term; he died on February 18, 1931, a few weeks into his second term, which led to a special election in 1932.
