Nicrophorus heurni
Nicrophorus heurni is a burying beetle found in Australia and New Guinea. Its scientific name is Nicrophorus heurni, and it was first described by Portevin in 1926. A synonym for this species is Nicrophorus h. portevin, named by Sikes & Peck in 2000. It belongs to the genus Nicrophorus in the family Silphidae, within the order Coleoptera (beetles).
