Nicola Savino
Nicola Savino (born 14 November 1967 in Lucca) is an Italian radio host, TV presenter, writer, radio director, actor, producer and impersonator. He grew up in Metanopoli near Milan; his father was an engineer from Foggia and his mother a pharmacist from Cosenza. An accident as a baby cost him part of a finger. He is married to Manuela Suma since 2009 and they have a daughter, Matilda (born 2005). He is a fan of Inter Milan and Cosenza.
Savino began in radio in 1984 at Radio Sandonato and moved to Radio DeeJay in 1989, directing early shows and later becoming a familiar voice on Deejay Chiama Italia with the nickname Uomo Della Strada (UDS). He also wrote and performed impressions on Ciao belli, hosted shows like Rio (2006), and contributed to Festivalbar and Le Iene, Zelig Circus and Zelig Off. He moved between Rai and Mediaset over the years, hosting programs such as Sformat, Scorie, Colorado Cafè, Matricole & Meteore and L'isola dei famosi, and later returned to RaiPlay and Sky. In 2022 he joined TV8 with 100% Italia. He has acted in films and provided voice work for animated films including Happy Feet Two, Zootopia and Peter Rabbit.
