Vasyl Ivanovych Hubal (Ukrainian: Василь Іванович Губаль) (born 5 June 1967) is a Ukrainian politician from Zakarpattia Oblast.

Early life and career
Hubal was born near Khust, in what was then the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic. After serving in the Soviet Army, from 1988 to 1992 he worked at several factories around Khust, including a brick factory of the Radyanska Ukrayina kolkhoz. He later studied at Lviv Polytechnic.

Political career
From 2006 to 2014, Hubal was a member of the Khust Raion Council, and he served as its chairman from 2010 to 2014. In 2014–2015 he was the head of the Zakarpattia Oblast State Administration, effectively the governor of Zakarpattia Oblast. During his time as governor, he faced the 2015 Mukacheve incident; a parliamentary investigative committee said he was not able to prevent it. Some sources in 2014 linked him to the Viktor Baloha clan.

Politics and affiliations
Hubal has been associated with various political groups; at times he was connected with the Servant of the People party, and earlier he was linked to other parties, including the People’s Party. He has been described as non-partisan at different points in his career.

Recent developments
On February 27, 2024, after the Khust City Council’s mayor resigned, Hubal, who was the council secretary, became acting mayor of Khust. At that time he was a member of the Servant of the People party.
