National Development Fund (Saudi Arabia), native name صندوق التنمية الوطني, is Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund. It was established on October 4, 2017, and is based in Riyadh. The fund is chaired by Mohammad bin Salman with Stephen Groff serving as Governor. Its goal is to improve the performance and coordination of development funds and banks in Saudi Arabia, helping them meet the priorities and economic needs of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to diversify the economy. The NDF seeks to strengthen integration among development funds to boost efficiency, effectiveness, and financial sustainability, and to cushion the economy against cycle fluctuations in support of Vision 2030.
